The cynics can opine, but I think the Oscars matter. I don’t like the idea of art as competition and I never will be comfortable with it, but celebrating the artist that works and creates will always be something I believe in.

Wildly behind on movies so I can’t opine on most of the Oscars, but I did see Mr. Nobody Against Putin last week and it’s a fantastic documentary. Really well made with a heart of black humor.
