All I can say is this. If you feel happy, if you feel content, don't second-guess it. Don't castigate yourself for not wearing the hairshirt crafted by the world's problems. Because unless you are whole in yourself, focusing on those problems without that wholeness will destroy you.

As a victim of sexual assault as a child, you should not castigate a victim when they speak out. It takes incredible courage to speak of atrocities committed against you.
