Not sure who needs to hear this but NOTHING prepares you for that first visit to Rome's cobblestones (sanpietrini)) from hell and the endless, beautiful but tortuous marble floors. I say this after months walking/hiking in other ancient European cities and only one week in Rome. ๐ณ๐๐ญ
