Watching “Wargames” and I’m STRUCK by the research methods of the computer genius kid—card catalog, librarians, microfiche, stacks. Today this would seem anachronistic…but only because too many have no idea how to do that work and what research is.

The equal time rule is an anachronism from the days when there were only three networks and the airwaves were scarce. It also hearkens back to when "news" on television meant Walter Cronkite. Of course content on The View is protected by the First Amendment.
