The WH proposed budget for FY27 has been released. More of the same rhetoric from last year, with sweeping cuts on the backs of fallacious claims. Of note for Dept. of Commerce:

NOAA: $1.6B reduction
NIST: $993M reduction
NTIA: $2.2B reduction

More info should appear in the coming weeks... Ugh.

trump's statement that we can't invest in America because we're fighting a war is fallacious when you consider that six weeks ago we weren't at war and he still didn't want to invest in America.
