Trump talked about communism because he will be using electoral wins of democratic socialists to scare voters into thinking a vote for democrats is a vote for communism. Many Americans think socialism is a euphemism for communism.

I wonder how long we’ll be allowed to say e.g., “my real opinions on this would violate the terms of service.” That still communicates the same message, more or less, and it’s the message that TPTB want to censor, not the particular form of the words that carry it.
The endless euphemism arms race.
